Types of real estate

  1. Residential real estate 

It is the property constructed for inhibition by humans. The number depends on the area of the property. Such a property may be occupied by the owner or leased.

  1. Commercial real estate

The purpose of such an estate is to be used for running a business or factory. Its examples include malls, office buildings, restaurants, etc. Such property, too, may be leased or occupied by the owner.


Meaning of real property


Real property is the umbrella term. It includes real estate & the rights of use & enjoyment of certain land, including its improvements.


The property owner’s rights include:

  1. The right to control

The owner determines uses & interests for others.

  1. The right to possess

He has the right to occupy the property.

  1. The right to enjoy

It is the right to use the property with no outside interference. 

  1. The right to exclude

The owner has a say in refusing the property’s usage by others.

  1. The right to dispose of

He determines if the property will be sold to another party. He also carries out the process of selling the property.
